I’m Aster Vaughn, a self-published indie author from New York (Long Island)
I’m a queer they/them gamer, cosplayer, and handcrafter with over 20 years of experience with those hobbies. I love musicals, doomed romance, and roleplaying! (TTRPG or casual) I’ve been practicing Witchcraft since I was 13, a former goth, forever punk, and my favorite movie is The Neverending Story. Some of my author inspirations are Madeline L’engle & Francesca Lia Block.

As an author, Aster explores themes of growth, grief, and the ever changing human condition. They entertain through a combination of humor and gut wrenching plot twists. Fall in love with their characters, and watch their story unfold as you turn each page...just don't get attached too soon.

Aster Vaughn is a lifelong resident of Long Island, New York, with a lifelong fascination with all things fantasy and macabre. They have two cats, one minibus, and a collection of stories they hope to one day publish for the world to enjoy. #BriarthroenUni: The Living Doll is their debut novel, and the first installment in a long series of magical tales. They enjoy video games, cosplaying, and bringing their server of storytellers to tears on a regular basis.
